Ganesan Pechi Muthu, popularly known as GP Muthu, is an Indian social media comedian, carpenter, and YouTuber born on 29 March 1985 in Udankudi, Thoothukudi (Tuticorin), Tamil Nadu. He dropped out of school after the third grade, worked for a decade in a jewellery store, then started a carpentry business with his father. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he turned to TikTok to distract himself from financial hardship, uploading comedy videos in the southern dialect that quickly accumulated millions of views. He built a following of nearly a million on TikTok before its ban in India in 2020, after which he transitioned to Instagram Reels and YouTube, where his channel grew to over 1.21 million subscribers. He is known for his unfiltered, earthy humour and authentic working-class persona. He is married to Pattamal and has four children. He also co-stars in a comedy show on Adithya TV and appeared in a film with Sunny Leone (2021). He entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 6 in October 2022 but voluntarily walked out of the house on Day 13 (end of Week 2) to visit his sick son, finishing in 21st place overall.
