Bio
Jason Shah is a British actor and fitness model born on 14 December 1987 in Ireland to a British mother and an American father. His mother later remarried an Indian man of Gujarati origin. He attended the New York Film Academy and graduated from the University of Memphis. His multicultural upbringing across Ireland, the United States, and India gives him a distinctively international profile in the Indian entertainment industry. He made his Bollywood debut in Partner (2007, directed by David Dhawan), starring alongside Salman Khan, Govinda, Lara Dutta, and Katrina Kaif — also appearing in the music video for Dupatta Tera Nau Rang Da featuring Katrina Kaif. He went on to build a notable career in Indian television with supporting and lead roles in Ishq Ka Rang Safed (Colors), Jhansi Ki Rani (Colors, 2019–21, as Captain Hugh Ross), and Barrister Babu (Colors, 2020, as Sir John Greenwood). He also made his Tamil film debut in 1947 (directed by S. Shankar). His most high-profile appearance to date is in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's lavish Netflix period series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar (2024), which brought him significant international attention. In November 2016, he entered Bigg Boss 10 as a wildcard contestant alongside Sahil Anand and Elena Kazan. He walked out of the house voluntarily after 14 days, finishing thirteenth overall.
