Kathirravan Kabilan Irissappane, popularly known as VJ Kathirravan or VJ Kathir, is an Indian video jockey, actor, and anchor born on 6 August 1993 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His father, Kabilan, served as a Deputy Commissioner of Police. He completed a B.Tech in Information Technology and an MBA from Anna University, Chennai. He began his career as a VJ with Sun Music in 2011, hosting shows such as Natppukaga, Vaazthukkal, Endrum Iniyavai, and Top 5 with VJ Kathir. He also hosted live public events and appeared in music album songs including Ennodu Nee Irundhal and Ninaivo Oru Paravai. He received the UTSAV 19 Best VJ of the Year Award (2019) and the Studio One Star Icon Favourite VJ Award (2020). He also appeared in the Tamil film Koodu and the web series Anandham Vilayadum Veedu. He entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 6 in October 2022. On Day 100, he accepted a cash prize eviction offer, leaving the house voluntarily, and finished in 6th place.
