Maheshwari Chanakyan, professionally known as VJ Maheswari, is an Indian actress and video jockey born on 17 February 1985 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to parents Sreenivasan and Latha. She attended Adarsh Vidyalaya in T. Nagar and graduated from the University of Madras. She began her career as an anchor on Sun Music and Isai Aruvi before transitioning to acting. She made her film debut in the low-budget Tamil film Kuyil (2010). She made her television acting debut in the romantic serial Puthu Kavithai on Star Vijay (2013), playing the lead Kavya opposite Dinesh - the show ran for 361 episodes. She also starred in the serials Thayumanavan (Vijay TV, 2013) and hosted Comedy Khiladis and Petta Rap on Zee Tamil. She appeared in the Kamal Haasan blockbuster Vikram (2022). She was married to Chanakyan and has a son named Keshav; the couple divorced in 2010 after she disclosed she faced physical and mental abuse. She entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 6 in October 2022 and was evicted in Week 5, finishing in 17th place.
