Ravi Kiran Rakle (popularly known as Anchor Ravi) is an Indian television anchor, presenter, and actor born on 19 September 1990 in Hyderabad, Telangana, to Mathurnath Rakle (Indian Army) and his wife Uma Rani. He has a younger sister, Suvatsala. After completing Class 10, he briefly joined the Indian Army and underwent six months of training in Pune before leaving to pursue his passion for performance. He subsequently completed his graduation. He initially started his career as a dance choreographer, teaching dance for Sangeet events and parties. He was encouraged to enter the TV industry by veteran actor Nagarjuna himself - a pivotal piece of advice that launched his media career. In 2009, he began anchoring the show Something Special on Maa Music alongside presenter Lasya Manjunath, which became hugely popular and turned him into an overnight star. He went on to become one of Telugu television's most sought-after and highest-paid anchors, hosting flagship programmes including One Show, Dee Juniors, Family Circus, Mondi Mogudu Penki Pellam, Kiraak, Ali Talkies, Patas (Star Maa, a comedy show alongside actress Sree Mukhi), and Adirindi. He has also hosted numerous award nights. He made his acting debut as the lead in the film Idhi Maa Prema Katha (2017). He won the captaincy in Week 11 of Bigg Boss Telugu 5. In September 2021, he entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 5 hosted by Nagarjuna and was eliminated in Week 12 (Day 83), finishing eighth. He is married to Nitya Saxena and the couple has a daughter named Viya.
