Rishi S. Kumar is an Indian actor and dancer born on 18 August 1994 in Kakkanad, Kochi, Kerala, to businessman Sunil Kumar and homemaker Pushpalatha. He has two younger brothers, Rithu and Ritesh. He later relocated to Mumbai for work. Self-taught in dance, inspired by Michael Jackson through YouTube tutorials, he auditioned for and was selected for D 4 Dance Season 2 on Mazhavil Manorama in 2013, where his talent gained widespread attention. This led to him being cast as Vishnu (Mudiyan) in the hugely popular Flowers TV sitcom Uppum Mulakum from 2015, which ran over 1000 episodes. His distinctive curly hair became his trademark and he became one of the most recognisable faces in Malayalam television. He transitioned to film with Paippin Chuvattile Pranayam (2017) opposite Anu Sithara, and also appeared in the sitcoms Aliyans (2020) and Erivum Puliyum (2022, Zee5). In 2023, he publicly accused the director of Uppum Mulakum of harassment, which received widespread attention. In March 2024, he entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6, where his dance performances made him a crowd favourite - earning the fan-given title 'Dancer of the Season'. He finished as fourth runner-up. In September 2024, he married actress and dancer Dr. Aiswarya Unni.
