Bio
Robert Raj, popularly known as Robert Master, is an Indian choreographer, actor, director, and producer born on 26 January 1981 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is a Christian and has a sister named Alphonsa, who was an actress and item-song dancer. He began his career as a child artist at the age of 10, playing Mammooty's son in the Malayalam-Tamil film Azhagan (1991). As a teenager he became an assistant dance master and went on to perform as a dancer in numerous films. He transitioned to acting with villain roles, most notably in Sathyaraj's Maaran (2002) and Dancer (2005), for which he received the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Villain. He simultaneously built a prolific career as a choreographer, working on superhit songs including 'Kuruvi', 'Chinna Thamarai' (Vettaikaran), 'Chennai City Gangster' (Vanakkam Chennai), and 'Red Card' (Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven). He won the Vijay Award for Best Choreographer for his work on Podaa Podi (2012). He also directed the film MGR Sivaji Rajini Kamal (2014) and appeared in the ZEE5 web series Mugilan. He married producer-actress Vanitha Vijayakumar in October 2024. He entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 6 in October 2022 and was evicted in Week 7, finishing in 15th place.
