Sherin Shringar (born 5 May 1986 in Bengaluru, Karnataka) is an Indian actress and model who has worked in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam language films. Born to Ali Shringar and Yasodha Shringar, she grew up in Bengaluru and attended Kaveri School before enrolling at Baldwin's Women's Methodist College, which she left to pursue modeling full-time. She launched her acting career as a child artist in the Kannada film Police Dog and made her Tamil debut in Dhanush's breakthrough romance Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002), in which she played the lead heroine. Her subsequent career spanned multiple South Indian industries, with notable roles in Juniors (Telugu, 2003), Whistle (2003), Student No. 1 (2003), and Danger (2005). After a period away from films, she returned with the Tamil comedy Nanbenda (2015) opposite Santhanam. In 2019, Sherin entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 3 and finished as the third runner-up after 104 days, reigniting public interest in her career. She has since participated in Cook With Comali on Vijay TV.
