Sobha Viswanath (born Sobha Vishwanath; 10 August 1985 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala) is an Indian social entrepreneur, designer, artist, and activist. The daughter of Vishwanathan, she attended Holy Angels' Convent Higher Secondary School and graduated from All Saints' College, Thiruvananthapuram, before earning an MBA with dual specialisations in Marketing and Human Resources from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kerala. In 2012, she founded Weavers Village, a handloom clothing store in Thiruvananthapuram centred on the upliftment of the local weaving community and the preservation of India's handloom heritage. The same year she co-founded the charitable organisation Save A Rupee, Spread A Smile (SARSAS). In 2019, she launched the Bhoomika fundraising initiative for Kerala flood victims, creating handloom-and-textile-waste dolls employing women from NGOs including those with disabilities. The dolls attracted admiration from celebrities including Katrina Kaif, Sonu Nigam, and Nithya Menen, and Sobha designed clothing for the world's first AI humanoid, Sophia. She serves on the boards of the Jyothirgamaya Foundation and Ashtamudi, and acts as director at Balaramapuram Handlooms Producers Company. She was arrested in 2021 by the Narcotics Control Bureau for ganja found in her store, but the Crime Branch investigation revealed she had been framed by a stalker who had proposed to her; the case was cleared. She is a survivor of domestic violence - a fact she shared openly in the Bigg Boss house - and was married to Ashwin Rajendran before their separation. In 2023, she participated in Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 and finished in fourth place after 98 days.
