Vikas Gupta is an Indian television producer, director, host, and actor born on 4 May 1983 in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, and based in Mumbai. He is the son of television producer O.P. Gupta and actress Sheela Bhatt. His siblings include actress Babita Gupta and his brother is actor Siddharth Gupta. He completed his schooling in Haridwar and Delhi before pursuing an education in the arts. He began his career as a creative director and went on to build one of Indian television's most prolific production careers. His production house The Story Ink has produced popular fiction series including Woh Apna Sa, Meri Durga, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka (Colors), Yeh Hai Aashiqui (Bindass), and multiple other hit shows. He has also directed and hosted programmes. As a contestant, he first appeared on Bigg Boss 11 (Colors, 2017) where he was declared the winner. He returned for Bigg Boss 13 (Colors, December 2019–January 2020) as a wildcard contestant (entering on Day 77), where his complex dynamic with former protégé Parth Samthaan and his alliances with Sidharth Shukla were widely discussed. He was eliminated in Week 13. He returned again for Bigg Boss 14 (2020). He made his acting debut in the Sony LIV series JL50 (2020). He finished fourteenth in BB13.
