Raja Chaudhary is an Indian actor, film producer, and writer born on 23 July 1975, with family roots in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and based in Mumbai. He is an alumnus of the Asian Academy of Film & Television, Noida. He is the ex-husband of television actress Shweta Tiwari, with whom he has a daughter, Palak Tiwari (born 8 October 2000), who is now a Bollywood actress. Their widely reported and difficult marriage and divorce between 1998 and 2012 made him a highly recognisable public figure. His acting career spans both Hindi and Bhojpuri entertainment. He is known for appearing in TV serials including Aane Wala Pal, Chandramukhi, Daddy Samjha Karo, Kahani Chandrakanta Ki (2017, Colors), Adaalat (Sony TV), and Your Honour, and in Bhojpuri films including Saiyyan Hamar Hindustani (opposite his then ex-wife Shweta Tiwari) and others in which he typically played villainous roles. He has participated in multiple reality shows: Nach Baliye 2 (Star Plus, 2007), Bigg Boss Season 2 (Colors, 2008), Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout (Imagine TV, 2011), and Love Lock-up (UTV Bindass, 2011). In August 2008, he entered Bigg Boss Season 2, hosted by Shilpa Shetty. His candid personality and rapport with fellow contestants — particularly a dramatic kiss with co-contestant Sambhavna Seth — generated major headlines during the season. He finished as the first runner-up on 22 November 2008. He was subsequently married to Shveta Sood (married 2015, divorced 2022).
