Ali Quli Mirza is an Indian-origin singer and actor born in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, of mixed heritage. He has built his music career primarily in Dubai and across the Middle East, performing in Arabic, Persian, and Urdu. His debut music album in Persian, Ishquamaan (meaning 'My Love'), was recorded in Dubai and India, featuring six tracks blending Middle Eastern and Euro-pop styles, and was released by Times Music in India in 2009. His second album was titled Bewafa. He has shared live concert stages with Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Ranbir Kapoor. He made his Bollywood debut in Kamal Sadanah's wildlife action thriller Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans (2014), which also starred Ajaz Khan and Himarsha Venkatsamy. He had previously appeared in supporting roles in Jail (2009) and New York (2009). He has appeared in advertisements for Mountain Dew and Tavera. In October 2014, he entered Bigg Boss Season 8 as the first wildcard contestant of the season (Week 4, Day 22). His close friendship with Dimpy Ganguly — including memorably calling her 'Dimak' (brains) when analysing her gameplay — was one of the season's talking points. He was one of five co-winners of Bigg Boss 8 and a finalist of Bigg Boss Halla Bol.
