Dimpy Ganguly (real name Soumoshree Ganguli; born 25 July 1988 in Kolkata, West Bengal) is an Indian model and television personality from a Bengali family. Her father is Saibal Ganguly and her mother is Sushmita Ganguly. She graduated with Honours in English Literature from the renowned Scottish Church College, Kolkata, in 2009. She participated in the Gladrags Mega Model Manhunt 2009 beauty pageant. She came to national prominence when she won the Imagine TV reality show Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (2010) — the Indian adaptation of The Bachelor — selecting politician Rahul Mahajan (son of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan) as her groom. The couple married on the show but their marriage was troubled from the start; Dimpy alleged domestic violence and physical abuse, and the couple formally divorced in February 2015. In November 2015, she married Dubai-based businessman Rohit Roy. Together they have three children: daughter Reanna (born June 2016) and sons Aryaan (born 2020) and Rishaan (born July 2022). She is currently based in Dubai. In November 2014, she entered Bigg Boss Season 8 as a wildcard contestant in Week 7 (Day 44). Her combative yet entertaining personality — and her close alliance with Ali Quli Mirza — made her one of the season's most talked-about entries. She was one of five co-winners of Bigg Boss 8 and a finalist of Bigg Boss Halla Bol.
