Bindu Madhavi is a Tamil actress born on 27 October 1987 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Applications before transitioning to acting. She made her Tamil film debut in Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012) and quickly established herself through the rural thriller Kazhugu (2012, dir. A. Sarkunam) - her most acclaimed role - followed by Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga (2013), Desingu Raja (2013), and Thilagar (2014). She has also appeared in Telugu films including Genius (2018). In August 2017, she entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 1 as a wildcard contestant in Week 5, becoming one of the season's most popular personalities. She finished as Fifth Runner-Up on 30 September 2017. She later participated in Bigg Boss Ultimate Season 1 (Telugu OTT, 2022) and went on to win it - becoming the champion of the spin-off - establishing herself as one of the most resilient reality TV personalities in South India.
