Niroop Nandakumar is an Indian actor, model, and entrepreneur born on 6 August 1993 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. His family relocated to Chennai shortly after his birth, where he grew up and pursued his education at SRM University, Chennai. He later completed an acting training course at Mindscreen Film Institute, founded by director Rajiv Menon. Before Bigg Boss, Niroop built a career in modelling and entrepreneurship, owning the restaurant Madras Amore in Valasaravakkam, Chennai - which specialises in South Indian cuisine. He is also a director, having helmed the short film Minsara Kanavu. He was formerly in a relationship with Bigg Boss Tamil Season 2 contestant Yaashika Anand, a connection he has acknowledged publicly. In October 2021, he entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5 hosted by Kamal Haasan, finishing fifth in the grand finale. He subsequently appeared in Bigg Boss Ultimate Season 1 (Disney+ Hotstar, 2022). He has also been part of the Zee5 web series Thalaimai Seyalagam.
