Priyanka Deshpande is an Indian television anchor and actress born on 28 April 1990 in Hubballi, Karnataka. Of Maharashtrian ancestry, she lost her father at age 11, after which the family relocated to Chennai. She earned her B.Sc. in Visual Communication from Ethiraj College, Chennai. She began her career in 2009 with Zee Tamil, then joined Sun TV before moving to Star Vijay in 2015, where she became one of Tamil television's most recognisable and highest-paid anchors. She hosted numerous flagship shows - Super Singer Seasons 5-8, Super Singer Junior, Start Music, The Wall, Kings of Comedy Juniors, Jodi Number One Season 9, Cinema Karam Coffee, and OlliBelly - earning her the informal title 'Superstar of Television'. She has also sung playback, including the song 'Madura Palapalakkuthu' for the film Devarattam (2019). Her YouTube channel has over a million subscribers. In October 2021, she entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5 hosted by Kamal Haasan, becoming one of the season's most loved contestants for her authentic personality and quick wit. She finished as first runner-up on 16 January 2022. She won Cooku with Comali Season 5 in 2024. In April 2025, she married DJ and entrepreneur Vasi Sachi.
