Dhanalakshmi is an Indian social media influencer and actress born on 17 May 2000 in Bhavani, Erode district, Tamil Nadu. She grew up in Erode and attended a government school there. She began creating short-form videos on TikTok as a teenager, mimicking Tamil film dialogues and performing dance routines, and quickly built a large following. After TikTok was banned in India in 2020, she shifted to Instagram Reels, where her expressive lip-sync and acting videos continued to go viral. She appeared as the lead in the Tamil music video Parai (March 2022), composed by Sean Roldan and directed by Kumaran, which addressed caste-based violence and garnered over 2.1 million YouTube views. She also appeared in the Tamil web series En Avalikaagah and the awareness short film Nirbhaya. As of 2022, she was pursuing her graduation while building her acting career. She entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 6 in October 2022 as one of the commoner contestants and was evicted in Week 11, finishing in 10th place. She was one of the youngest contestants of that season.
