Ashitha Chandrappa is an Indian actress born on 6 September 1995 in Coorg, Karnataka, into an affluent family. She was brought up in Coorg and grew up in comfortable surroundings before choosing to pursue an acting career against her father's initial wishes. She made her television debut with the popular Kannada serial Jothe Jotheyali on Zee Kannada, and rose to greater prominence with her roles as Avani and Rani in the Colors Kannada serial Radha Ramana. She also appeared in the Kannada serial Neeli, further building her fan base among Kannada TV audiences. She participated in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 5 in 2017 as a celebrity contestant and remained in the house until Week 8. She later appeared in the Kannada film Aa Karaala Ratri (2018).
