Krishi Thapanda is an Indian actress and model from a Kodava family in Coorg (Kodagu), Karnataka. Born on 23 September 1989, she was raised in Coorg and has been passionate about art and performance from a young age. She entered the entertainment industry through beauty pageants, winning the title of Miss Karnataka 2014. Before entering films, she worked as an Assistant Manager at InterCall, a US-based audio conferencing service provider, which gave her the opportunity to star in the Kannada anthology Kahi (2016), winning the Karnataka State Award for Best Screenplay that year. She made her film debut with the Kannada romantic comedy Akira (2016), directed by Naveen Reddy, and received a SIIMA Award nomination for Best Debutant Actress. She went on to appear in Eradu Kanasa (2017) and Kannadakkagi Ondannu Otthi (2018). In 2017, she participated in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 5, where she was eliminated in Week 12 but appeared multiple times as a wildcard entrant. She is deeply passionate about fitness, mental wellness, and social causes.
