Ashutosh Kaushik is an Indian actor, model, YouTuber, and restaurateur born on 2 October 1981 in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. A law graduate, he was running a dhaba (roadside eatery) in Saharanpur when friends encouraged him to audition for MTV Roadies. He was selected for MTV Hero Honda Roadies 5.0 (2007), where his natural wit, physical fitness, and authentic personality made him a fan favourite. He went on to win the show, becoming one of the most celebrated Roadies champions of his era. Riding the wave of his Roadies fame, he was invited to participate in Bigg Boss Season 2 (Colors TV, 2008), hosted by Shilpa Shetty. Over 96 days, he consistently won public support through his simplicity, humour, and genuine personality. He was declared the winner on 22 November 2008, receiving a prize of ₹1 crore — making him the first and only contestant in Indian reality TV history to win both MTV Roadies and Bigg Boss. He subsequently appeared in Bollywood films including Kismat Love Paisa Dilli (2012), Shortcut Romeo (2013), Zila Ghaziabad (2013), Bhadaas (2013), Laal Rang (2016), and the web series Neta Ji and Forgotten Souls. He also appeared in MTV Roadies 8 as a returning participant. In 2020, he married Arpita, a banker, and they have one son. He manages two restaurant chains in his hometown of Saharanpur.
