Bio
Debojit Saha is an Indian playback singer, music composer, performer, and anchor born on 17 November 1973 in Silchar, Assam, into a Bengali family. Raised in Silchar — a city culturally known for its Bengali heritage in southern Assam — he developed a passion for music from childhood and received early training in multiple genres including classical, pop, ghazal, sufi, rock, and Bollywood. He is married to Bandana Saha; their daughter was born in 2009. His national breakthrough came when he entered and won the Zee TV singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005, emerging as the winner and receiving the coveted 'Voice of India' title — cementing his position as a serious singing talent from northeast India. His win led to playback singing opportunities in Hindi, Bengali, and Assamese film and television productions. He has continued performing extensively at live concerts and corporate events across India over the past two decades. He also runs an active YouTube channel. In August 2008, he entered Bigg Boss Season 2 hosted by Shilpa Shetty. He stayed in the house for 69 days — by his own account one of the most neutral and non-political contestants of the season — before being eliminated in Week 10, finishing seventh. Post-show, he has remained active in music and performance.
