Diandra Soares is an Indian model, fashion designer, and television host born and raised in Bandra, Mumbai, Maharashtra. She attended school in Bombay and studied at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. She began modelling at 14, landing her first assignment with Tips and Toes and her first fashion show for McDowell's. After winning Miss Bombay in 1995, she secured contracts with Dinesh Suitings, VIP Lingeries, Tillsbury Whiskey, and several other major brands, and went on to walk international runways for Gucci, Emanuel Ungaro, Sonia Rykiel, and Leonard Paris — and participate in the Miami Fashion Show. She became known for her striking bald-headed ramp appearances, opening and closing shows for major designers. Inspired by model Madhu Sapre, she has carved a unique bold, high-fashion identity in an industry that often favours a more conventional aesthetic. She has also hosted television programs. In September 2014, she entered Bigg Boss Season 8 as one of the original contestants. She developed an intense romantic connection with eventual winner Gautam Gulati — one of the season's most-watched interpersonal tracks. She was evicted in Week 12 (Day 84), finishing 10th overall. She briefly re-entered the house on Day 100 as a guest.
