Gautam Gulati (born 27 November 1987 in Delhi) is an Indian film and television actor. He attended Hansraj College, North Campus, Delhi University. He made his television debut with Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna (Colors TV, 2009) and gained wider recognition through Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani (Colors TV, 2010–2011). His breakthrough came with the role of Suraj Singh Rathore in the massively popular Star Plus daily drama Diya Aur Baati Hum (2011–2016) — one of the most-watched Indian serials of its time — in which he played the determined husband of Sandhya who supports her IPS dream. He has also appeared in the films Kuch Kuch Locha Hai (2015), Wajah Tum Ho (2016), and Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana (2017), and participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 (2015). In September 2014, he entered Bigg Boss Season 8. During the season he became one of the most controversial housemates — for his friendship with Diandra Soares, his battles with Puneet Issar and other members of the 'P3G' gang, and his strategic gameplay. He was one of five co-winners of Bigg Boss 8, and then won the extended spin-off Bigg Boss Halla Bol (hosted by Farah Khan) on 31 January 2015 — making him the overall winner of the season.
