Hema Rolla, known professionally as Hema Vani, is an Indian actress born on 12 November in Razole, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. Her father's name is Kolla Krishna. She is married to Syed Jan Ahmed. She made her acting debut in 1989 and went on to build a career spanning more than two decades in Telugu cinema, appearing in over 200 films as a character artist. During this career, she worked with major Telugu directors and star heroes, playing a wide range of supporting and character roles that showcased her versatility. By the time she entered Bigg Boss, she was also publicly expressing interest in entering politics. She entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 3 in July 2019 as one of the original 15 housemates. She was the very first contestant evicted from the season - leaving in Week 1 after being nominated alongside Rahul Sipligunj, Vithika Sheru, Punarnavi, Himaja, and Jaffar - and finished 17th (last) overall.
