Bio
Kamaal R. Khan, known universally as KRK, is an Indian actor, director, and self-proclaimed film critic born circa 1972 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is known for his singular self-produced film Deshdrohi (2008) — widely regarded as one of Indian cinema's most unintentionally comedic films and the subject of significant online satire — which he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in. Despite the film's commercial and critical failure, KRK remained in the public eye through his prolific social media presence, particularly on Twitter, where his outlandish, inflammatory, and often libellous film reviews made him simultaneously India's most ridiculed and most-followed film critic for a period. His public persona is defined by controversy: he has been sued by multiple Bollywood personalities for defamatory statements, faced legal trouble for his social media posts on multiple occasions, and was arrested in 2021 in connection with money laundering allegations by the ED. He has maintained residency outside India for significant periods. In October 2009, he entered Bigg Boss Season 3 as one of the original contestants. He was ejected from the house on Day 17 (Week 3) by the Bigg Boss production team for repeated rule violations and misconduct inside the house — becoming one of the earliest ejections in the show's history. He finished 14th overall.
