Kamalika Banerjee (also known as Kamalika Bandyopadhyay) is an Indian actress born on 21 July 1978 in Calcutta, West Bengal. She made her acting debut with the Bengali anthology film Ek Mutho Chabi (2005) and went on to appear in a wide range of Bengali films including Gandu (2010), Wanted (2010), Kahaani (2012) — where she played a receptionist alongside Vidya Balan — Hawa Bodol (2013), Aamar Aami (2014), Herogiri (2015), Bibaho Diaries (2017), and Jongole Mitin Mashi (2023). On television, she is well known for her role as Dr. Banalata Sen in the serial Checkmate (2012) and has appeared in Ekhane Aakash Neel, Rajjotok, and Chokher Tara Tui, among others. In 2024, she won Best Actress at the IndieFEST Film Awards and the Sweden Film Awards for the short film Rajanigandha. In 2016, she participated in Bigg Boss Bangla Season 2, entering the house, being evicted, re-entering on Day 56, and ultimately finishing 8th.
