Minissha Lamba (born 18 January 1985 in New Delhi) is an Indian actress and model. She attended St. Mary's School in Delhi and later pursued modelling before transitioning to Bollywood. She was discovered by director Shoojit Sircar, who cast her as the female lead Ahana in the Kashmir-set romantic drama Yahaan (2005) opposite Jimmy Sheirgill — a debut that earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut nomination. She went on to appear in a number of mainstream Bollywood films including Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. (2007, an ensemble romantic comedy), Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Bipasha Basu), Kidnap (2008, opposite Imran Khan), and Party (2014). She was previously married to actor Ryan Tham (2015–2019). In September 2014, she entered Bigg Boss Season 8 as one of the original contestants. A notable season controversy saw co-contestant Arya Babbar falsely claim they had previously dated — a claim Minissha consistently denied. She was evicted in Week 6 (Day 42), finishing 15th overall.
