Shakthi Vasudevan (also known as Shakthi Vasu or Shakthivel Vasu) is a Tamil actor from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is the son of the acclaimed Tamil film director P. Vasu, who is known for directing horror comedies like Chandramukhi and the Muni franchise. Growing up in a film family gave Shakthi exposure to the industry from a young age. His acting career began with the lead role in Thottal Poo Malarum (2007, dir. Cheran), a family-oriented Tamil film. He went on to appear in several Tamil productions including the horror film Shivalinga (2017), also directed by his father P. Vasu. He has remained active in Tamil cinema and television in supporting roles. In June 2017, he entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 1 as one of the original contestants and was evicted in Week 7 after 48 days, finishing 11th overall.
