Sihi Kahi Chandru, born Chandrashekhar on 23 July 1962 in Davanagere, Karnataka, is a veteran Indian actor, director, and producer celebrated for his contributions to Kannada cinema and television over more than four decades. He and his future wife Geetha starred in the hugely popular Doordarshan Kannada serial Sihi Kahi (1986-87), in which they played a married couple. The show's tremendous success gave him his stage name Sihi Kahi (meaning sweet and bitter) and their on-screen chemistry blossomed into real life - they married on 9 November 1990. They have two children, Hitha and Kushi. With over 500 films to his credit, he is known for memorable roles in Kannada films such as Ganeshana Maduve, Gowri Ganesha, Putakkana Highway, and Tenali Rama. He is also celebrated for his Kannada theatre comedy Neenaanaadre naaneenenaINR , an adaptation of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors. He has directed TV serials Silli Lalli and Paapa Pandu, and hosted the popular cookery show Bombat Bhojana on Suvarna TV. In 2017, he participated in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 5 as the oldest contestant of that season.
