Sonali Raut (born 23 December 1990 in Mumbai, Maharashtra) is an Indian actress and model. Her father is a Deputy Commissioner of Police in Mumbai, and she is the younger sister of Ujjwala Raut — one of India's most internationally successful supermodels. She completed her schooling in Mumbai and graduated from Mithibai College. She began modelling at 19, becoming a Kingfisher Calendar Girl in 2010 and the face of MAC Cosmetics in India. She has also appeared in photoshoots alongside Ranveer Singh (2011) and worked with major fashion houses. She made her Bollywood debut in the period romantic thriller The Xpose (2014, dir. Anant Mahadevan), playing Chhaya opposite Himesh Reshammiya and Yo Yo Honey Singh — a film set in the 1960s Bollywood film industry. She has also appeared in Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 (2024). In September 2014, she entered Bigg Boss Season 8 as one of the original contestants. She was evicted in Week 1 (Day 8) but dramatically re-entered the house on Day 11 (Week 2), continuing in the game for a combined total of 99 days. She was eliminated in the main season finale on 3 January 2015, finishing 7th overall.
