Thamarai Selvi is a Tamil folk and drama artist (Nadaga Kalaingar) born on 17 May 1989 in Pudukkottai district, Tamil Nadu. She joined a drama troupe at a young age, supporting her family financially through her performances. After marriage, she settled in Dindigul with her husband Parthasarathy, with whom she has performed in numerous temple festivals, dramas, and stage shows across Tamil Nadu - often performing four to five dramas a day during festival seasons. She is particularly well known for the folk drama Valli Deivanai and has completed over 100 shows in her career. She made her television debut in the serial Bharathi Kannamma (Star Vijay). In October 2021, she entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5 as a commoner contestant, becoming one of the most emotionally resonant personalities of the season. She finished sixth, eliminated on Day 97. She subsequently participated in Bigg Boss Ultimate Season 1 (2022) and BB Jodigal Season 2 alongside her husband Parthasarathy. She also runs a family YouTube channel called Lotus Family.
