Varun Isari Kamalakannan is an Indian Tamil film actor born on 22 December 1992 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is the grandson of veteran Tamil film actor and politician Isari Velan and the nephew of film producer Isari Ganesh, placing him firmly within Tamil cinema's industry heritage. He began his acting career with the film Perimala Thiraiarangam (2011) and went on to appear in a wide range of Tamil productions including Thalaivaa (2013), Oru Naal Iravil (2015), Bogan (2017), Vanamagan (2017), Neruppu Da (2017), Sometimes (2018), LKG (2019), Comali (2019), Puppy (2019), Seeru (2020), and Kutty Story (2021). In October 2021, he entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5 hosted by Kamal Haasan. He was eliminated in Week 12 (Day 83), finishing ninth.
