Sreelakshmi Sreekumar (also known as Sreelakshmi Jagathy) is an Indian actress and television anchor born on 11 May 1995 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She is the second daughter of the legendary Malayalam comedian Jagathy Sreekumar - one of the most prolific and celebrated actors in Indian cinema history, known for over 1500 Malayalam films - and his third wife Kala, herself a former actress (known for films including Iniyum Oru Kurukshethram, Dasharatham, and News). Her maternal grandfather, Jagathy N.K. Achary, is a celebrated Malayalam dramatist and writer. She completed her schooling at Christ Nagar Senior Secondary School, Thiruvallam, Thiruvananthapuram, and was a trained classical dancer from a young age, winning multiple dance competition prizes. Despite her father's initial preference that she become an IAS officer, she entered the entertainment industry through her Malayalam film debut in Iyer in Pakistan (2016, directed by Lal Jose) opposite Fahadh Faasil, a role secured through a family friend. She has also appeared in the films Oru Murai Kanda Kathai (Tamil/Malayalam), Kranthi, and Once Upon a Time There was a Kallan. On television, she anchored Isai Mazhai, Plus Events, and Comedy Super Nite on Asianet Plus. In June 2018, she entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1. She was eliminated in Week 4 (Day 26), finishing sixteenth - a day after fellow contestant Deepan Murali. She married Dubai-based commercial pilot Jijin Jahangir on 17 November 2019 in a ceremony at Grand Hyatt, Kochi.
