
Srinish Aravind is an Indian television actor and model born on 2 June 1985 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Though born in Chennai - where his father Aravind Nair worked - his family has ancestral roots in Ottapalam, Palakkad, Kerala. He is the youngest of three siblings; his two elder sisters live in Kerala. He completed his schooling at J.R.K. Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai, graduated with a B.Com from Guru Nanak College, and trained at the Balu Mahendra Institute of Film Technology in Chennai. Before entering entertainment, he worked as a recruiter at Kindle Systems and as an Operations Executive at Vasan Healthcare. He began his career in modelling and Tamil short films - including Uyir Ezhuthu (2014) - before his television breakthrough with the Asianet mega serial Pranayam (2015-17), a remake of Ye Hai Mohabbatein, in which he played male lead Sharan G. Menon through all 524 episodes. In 2016, he made his Tamil film debut in Kuttrame Thandanai and his Malayalam serial debut in Ammuvinte Amma (2017). He also appeared in the Telugu serial Naticharami (2018) and the Tamil serial Vamsam (Star Vijay, 2017), playing a negative character alongside Ramya Krishnan. In June 2018, he entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1 and finished as the fourth runner-up. During the season, he fell in love with fellow contestant Pearle Maaney. The couple got engaged on 17 January 2019, married on 5 May 2019 (Christian rite) and 8 May 2019 (Hindu rite). They have two daughters: Nila (born 20 March 2021) and Nitara (born 13 January 2024).
His lead role as Sharan G. Menon - the CEO of a multinational company - in the popular Asianet mega serial Pranayam (2015-17), directed by Sudheesh Shankar; his Tamil television debut as the antagonist Raj in the long-running serial Vamsam (2017) alongside Ramya Krishnan; his real-life relationship with Pearle Maaney that began during Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1 (2018); finishing fourth in the season.
