
Basheer Bashi (also known as DJ-Bash) is an Indian businessman, musician, DJ, actor, and content creator born on 25 September 1988 in Ernakulam, Kerala. His father, Mohammed Kutty, was a businessman in Kochi, and his mother Nabeesumma was a homemaker. He completed his schooling at RPMHS, Ernakulam, and his graduation from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. From a young age he was drawn to music. He released two music albums that gained popularity in Kerala's Muslim social media circles, then transitioned into disc jockeying under the name DJ-Bash. He has appeared in Malayalam music videos including Azhake En Kadhaliye (2015) and Pathiye (2017). He launched his entrepreneurial ventures with Borna Fashion Hub - a menswear clothing store in Kochi - in 2017, followed by Borna Beard Oil, a grooming brand. He also gained attention as a social media personality before the widespread growth of Instagram influencer culture in Kerala. He is married to model and beautician Suhana Bashi (married 21 December 2009), with whom he has a son Muhammad Zaigham and a daughter Sunaina. In June 2018, he entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1, becoming one of its more controversial and talked-about personalities due to his openness about his personal life. He was eliminated on Day 83, finishing eighth. His Bigg Boss stint significantly amplified his public profile. He later made his film acting debut in Salmon 3D (2023) as Steve.
