
Pearle Maaney is an Indian television anchor, actress, singer, lyricist, and YouTuber born on 28 May 1989 in Aluva, Kerala, into a Syro-Malabar Syrian Christian family with roots in Chowara. Her father is motivational speaker Paul Maaney (of Tamilian descent) and her mother is homemaker Molly Maaney. She has a younger sister, fashion designer Rachel Maaney. She completed her schooling at Holy Angels' Convent in Thiruvananthapuram and Rajagiri Public School in Kalamassery, then graduated in Media Studies from Christ University, Bengaluru. She began her television career as a VJ, hosting over 250 episodes of the music show Yes Jukebox on the Malayalam channel Indiavision. She hosted the travel-cookery show Taste of Kerala on Amrita TV under the pseudonym Serah, and the dance reality show GumOn D2 on Mazhavil Manorama in 2014. She became widely known as a co-host of D 4 Dance (Seasons 1, 2, and 3) on Mazhavil Manorama alongside Govind Padmasoorya and Adil Ibrahim. She made her film debut as a biker girl in the acclaimed Malayalam road trip film Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi (2013) directed by Sameer Thahir, subsequently appearing in Double Barrel (2015), Pretham (2016), Team 5 (2017), and the Netflix film Ludo (2020) in which she played Sheeja Thomas. She has also worked as a lyricist, penning 'Munnale Ponnale' for Oru Adaar Love (2019), and as a playback singer. In June 2018, she entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1 and finished as the first runner-up on 30 September 2018. During the season, she developed a real-life romance with fellow contestant Srinish Aravind. The couple got engaged on 17 January 2019, held their Christian wedding on 5 May 2019 in Aluva and their Hindu wedding on 8 May 2019 in Palakkad. They have two daughters: Nila (born 20 March 2021) and Nitara (born 13 January 2024). She also runs an active YouTube channel sharing lifestyle, couple vlogs, and motivational content.
