David John is an Indian model and actor from Kerala who built his career in the Malayalam modelling industry. He participated in modelling assignments and appeared in a number of television commercials (telecoms) and print campaigns before pursuing acting. He had a long-standing passion for entering the film industry, which guided his career choices from an early stage. In June 2018, he entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1 hosted by Mohanlal as one of the original 16 contestants. He was the first contestant to be eliminated from the inaugural season, receiving the fewest public votes in Week 1 and leaving on Day 6, finishing seventeenth overall.
